A Guide to Lisa’s Favourite Antique Market

Alfies Antique Market is one of my favourite antique markets. One of the reasons I love visiting is because you never know what you’re going to find there, it’s such a treasure trove! I’ve always loved the element of surprise and the feel of a treasure hunt.
It’s true, there are cheaper antique markets in London but I don’t just visit Alfies to buy antiques. I often stop by to find some inspiration when I’m struggling to find it else where and it is yet to let me down!
On my latest trip I discovered a small shop tucked away in a corner called Horner Antiques. It was full to the brim of decorations, mainly Christmas decorations from the 1950’s  soviet union and many other places. I know I’ll be stopping by to pick up a few decorations for my tree this year!
It’s so easy to get lost in Alfies (mentally and physically!) It reminds of a labyrinth or a rabbits warren and I can easily spend hours weaving in and out of the narrow hallways. There’s even a secret fish pond in the middle that you wouldn’t expect to find!

I’d love to know if you have any secret treasure troves of your own in London!

You can find mine at Alfies Antique Market 13 – 25 Church St, Marylebone, London NW8 8DT
